Can I wear or bring Oxa in an airport or on an airplane? Follow
Generally, the Oxa wearable breathing sensor, which includes heart and breathing rate sensors, does not pose any dangers to airline or airport safety regulations. However, there are a few considerations to keep in mind when traveling with Oxa:
- Due to the presence of a cable and small metal components in the Oxa garments, it is not recommended to wear Oxa while passing through a metal detector at a security checkpoint.
- Similarly to wireless headphones, the Oxa sensor uses a standard Bluetooth connection to send data to the Oxa app. Although the sensor cannot be switched off or turned into airplane mode, the sensor is a low energy Bluetooth device does not interfere with any known transportation safety regulations. Due to battery regulations, it is recommended to bring Oxa in your carry-on baggage, rather than checked luggage.
- Oxa’s exercises are based on conscious breathing. Some breathing exercises, such as power breathing or hyperventilation, may appear unusual to bystanders. Certain exercises may also induce relaxation or increased physical energy. Consider the environment and people around you when choosing to breathe with Oxa.
